Dumphries is a beautiful town situated in the Scottish borders, we have been there several times over recent years and have enjoyed a few fish and chips while looking out over the river as pictured.  Also we have spent many an happy hour looking and browsing through the many and fascinating gift shops. 

The surrounding countryside is well worth an exploration with its rolling hills and historic buildings which can be found all around this area.
