We have visited Ayr twice over the last two years, it is situated south of Glasgow on the Scottish West coast.  It is a lovely little seaside town with many differing shops.  It as a lovely sandy beach and it is here infact that the gulf stream touches these isles.  There is a lot of history in evidence around Ayr including part of the ancient town wall.  We have enjoyed both fleeting visits and intend returning at a later point for a more in depth search of the town.
