Roman City was the fourth largest city within Roman Britain, its
remains are to be found a few miles to the west of the modern
day city of Shrewsbury. We spent a morning visiting this
site during June 2001. The photograph that you see
basically shows the remains of the bath house complex.
The city fell in to a irreversible period of
neglect around the 5th century after the roman occupation
finished.
Today there is a very small village to the
east of the Roman City overlooking the river Seven. |
